Notes for Oscar Pliny BARNUM/Mary CANNON

From the Wyoming County Times, Warsaw, NY, October 1892: A very delightful October wedding took place in Cowlesville at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Lambert Cannon on Wednesday morning, October 26, the contracting parties being Miss Mamie, their only daughter, and Oscar Pliny Barnum of Syracuse, N. Y. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Burton M. Clark of Buffalo, in the presence of one hundred guests. The charming bride was attired in a princess gown of creme faille, en traine, most effectively decorated with pearl trimming, and carried a bouquet of pink and white la France roses. The groom wore the usual suit of black. The wedding presents from friends at Buffalo, Syracuse and New York city were numerous and costly. After hearty congratulations the doors of the banquet room were thrown open, and the guests ushered to a sumptuous banquet, where all were served to viands both toothsome and dainty. Mr. and Mrs. Barnum left on an evening train for their future home in Syracuse.

From The Holley Standard, Holley, Orleans County, New York, Thursday October 27, 1892: Oscar Barnum of Syracuse NY and Mary Cannon of Cowlesville NY were married yesterday at the home of the bride. Mr. Barnum was a resident of Holley and has many friends here.
