A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
Edwin Wesley Barnum and Mary Green had four children. George Nelson Barnum and Lonella Barnum died in infancy and only Estella was enumerated in the 1860 census for Des Moines, Iowa. In 1870, Estella and Edwin B. Barnum were listed as the children of the widow Mary Barnum. Mary received a widow’s pension as a result of her husband’s Civil War service. Estella Barnum married Wesley L. Booton and they had one daughter, Laura, who married Leon Leroy Russell and later lived in North Dakota.
