Wedding to Break up Home. Betrothal of Mrs. Maie Barnum-Harris to Leo F. Warner Announced. Special to The New York Times. Hempstead, L. I., March 7.—Mrs. Joshua Willets Barnum has announced the engagement of her daughter, Mrs. Maie R. Barnum-Harris, to Leo Frederick Florham Warner. The wedding is to take place the latter part of April.
The Barnums are well known and widely connected. Shortly after her début, in Manhattan about four years ago, Maie Barnum became the wife of Frederick Harris, a well-known clubman. Within six months he died from the effects of an operation for appendicitis. Mrs. Harris is popular and an excellent whip.
The Barnum estate, which is one of the largest in the East Mmeadow Brook section and adjoins that of Mrs. O. H. P. Belmont, has been taken by John W. Munson of Virginia, as the family will after the wedding break up the Barnum home.
The NY Times, April 19, 1908: Leo Frederic Florian Warner and Mrs. Maie Richmond Barnum Harris, widow of Frederick Harris and daughter of Mrs. Joshua Willetts Barnum, were married at noon yesterday.
