A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From the Brewster Standard, March 17, 1938: A divorce was granted by Judge Arthur F. Ells in Danbury Superior Court on Tuesday to Mrs. Marjorie Smith Barnum from her husband, George P. Barnum, on grounds of desertion. Brief testimony in the uncontested action showed the Barnums were married in Brewster, N. Y. on June 25, 1910 and that Mr. Barnum deserted his wife in May of 1932.
