From the Iowa State Register, Ds Moines – Tuesday, August 30, 1881: Married – At the Centenary Church, Sunday, August 28, by the Rev. L. H. Woodworth, Mr. Wesley L. Booton and Miss Estella E. Barnum, all of this city. This ceremony united in life two of Des Moines’ excellent young people, and all of their friends join in wishing them a long, happy life in their new relation. This ceremony will be historical from the fact that it was the last service of any kind ever to be performed in the Centenary church, that society having merged with the Fifth street congregation and taken up its home at the new church edifice on Ninth and Pleasant streets.
