From the Sandusky Register, Sandusky, Ohio, January 5, 1922: W. H. Barnum, 66, for many years a member of the firm of Helm and Barnum, dry goods merchants in the city, died at his home Wednesday morning. Barnum was born in California, but with his parents came to Clyde, Ohio when 12 years old and later came to Fremont where he was a member of the dry goods firm for 36 years. Surviving besides the widow is one daughter, Lucy Barnum and a brother, Clarence Barnum residing in Arizona.
