Notes for David Munson BARNUM

According to the Pioneer History of Clarksfield, David M. Barnum was a son of Eli Barnum, one of the pioneers of that township. He arrived there in 1841 and lived a few years. He was a clerk in Cobb’s store part of the time and also taught school. He was a tailor by trade. In 1848 he was elected county recorder and moved to Norwalk, where he held the office for ten years. He was a hunchback.
