From The Holley Standard, Holley, Orleans County, New York, February 3, 1898: We copy by request the following death notice from New Orleans. Barnum entered into rest Saturday August 28, 1897 at 10pm. Wilhehmine Louisa Colton, beloved wife of Dr. James Barnum, aged 57 years, a native of New Orleans. Relatives and friends of the family and also the Colton and Champenois families are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will take place Monday afternoon August 30, at 3pm from her late residence, No. 1585 Magazine St., Corner Richard. Interment Metairie Cemetery.
