A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From the Citizen Advertiser, Auburn, New York, Friday, October 23, 1959: Mrs. Fayette Barnum. Mrs. Caroline Carlon Barnum, 91, widow of Fayette Barnum of New York City and Winter Park, Fla., died Wednesday at her home in New York City. Born in Auburn she spent her youth in Auburn, graduating from Auburn High School. She had been residing in New York City and Florida for the past 41 years. She is survived by two nieces, Miss Beatrice Bauer of New York City and Mrs. Roy Sampson of Buffalo.
Remains will arrive in Auburn tomorrow morning and a requiem high Mass will be offered in Holy Family Church at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
