On 28 February 1849 Eder Barnum applied for a US Passport, stating that he was born in Danbury, Connecticut and was 35 years of age. He was decribed as follows: Age: 35; Stature: 5ft 7-1/2in; Forehead: Medium; Eyes: Blue; Nose: Short; Mouth: Small; Chin: Full; Hair: Brown; Complexion: Dark; Face: Round. His older brother Phineas Taylor "P.T." Barnum signed as witness.
He died unmarried.
