A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From the Harlem Valley Times, Thursday, December 20, 1945: John D. Barnum, 74, lifelong resident of Amenia died Wednesday, December 12, after a long illness. He was the son of the late John and Harriett Ann Potts Barnum, also former residents. Funeral services were conducted at the F.P. Hamm Funeral Home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Herbert Finch, pastor of the South Amenia Presbyterian church officiating. Interment was in the Amenia Union cemetery. Mr. Barnum is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. J. Edmund Barnum of Amenia Union.
