Barnum, 88, born on a farm near here and one of the oldest and respected continuous residents of Noble County, died Feb. 4 at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Margaret Foster of Fort Wayne. He was active in politics, a former county commissioner and was born a mile north of here. His wife, Mary
Stanley Barnum, died in 1929, since which time he resided with relatives. For the past ten years he had resided in Fort Wayne. A son, Clarence, died two years ago. Funeral was Tuesday at Bonham Funeral Home, Rev. R. J. Burns officiating.
