From the Geauga Republican, Wednesday, 9 December 1914, local news column for Hambden: Sizer Barnum and children and Bert Gould and wife, of Chardon, were at Henry Barnum's last week. Henry Barnum, Jr., of Plymouth, is also there.
From The Painesville Telegraph, Painesville, Ohio (Lake County), Thursday, August 22, 1929: Chardon Man is Found Dead. Believe Sizer Barnum, 55, Suffered Stroke. Chardon, Aug. 22 - The body of Sizer Barnum, 55, prominent stonemason and well known in this section, was found at 4 p.m. yesterday in a field behind his home here. Mr. Barnum had arisen early yesterday morning and had gone for a walk. He was not seen again alive. When he did not return for dinner, his family became alarmed and friends and neighbors joined in a search for him. While the county coroner has made no statement, authorities here believe that Mr. Barnum suffered a stroke. There were no marks of violence upon him. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Painter and Miss Irene Barnum, and two sons, Raymond and Bert. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
