From the Utica Morning Herald, Saturday, July 8, 1875: The venerable wife of Ezra S. Barnum died yesterday morning at her residence on Broad Street after many years of suffering, aged 82 years. The deceased was a lady of domestic tastes and greatly beloved by all who knew her, for her remarkable traits of character and the virtues which made her home and its occupants very happy for many years. The sixtieth anniversary of her wedding to her venerable husband was celebrated only a short time ago, of ten children only five survive--Stephen O. Barnum of Buffalo, Samuel Barnum of Chicago, Mrs. D. V. W. Golden, Miss Mary Barnum, Mrs. L. C. McIntosh.
