From The Farmer, Bridgeport, Connecticut, February 24, 1913: Mrs. Elizabeth (Walker) Barnum, widow of Luther M, Barnum, passed away Saturday evening at the home of her son-in-law, Andrew M. Booth, on Terrace Place, following a week's critical illness. Mrs. Barnum's death was due to an ailment terminating in paralysis of the internal organs. She was on a visit to her daughter here, and had attended church during the day on which she was seized with her fatal illness. Deceased was a native of this town, her parental home being in the Northville district. She was married to Mr. Barnum in 1855, and went to New Fairfield to reside, but subsequently the family removed to Danbury, where Mrs. Barnum retained a home up to the time of her decease. Mr. Barnum died in 1905. Deceased was a woman of a quiet and agreeable personality and endeared herself to many outside her family circle Mrs. Barnum leaves one sister, Mrs. Isaac Northrop of this place, and three daughters, who are Mrs. A. M. Booth of New Milford, Mrs. Capitola Barnum of Danbury, and Mrs. Alma de Roquelaine, of White Plains, N.Y. The funeral will take place from the home of Mr. Booth, Tuesday afternoon, at 2. Rev. J. F. Plumb of St. John's church will officiate, and the burial will be In Wooster Cemetery in Danbury.
