There is no record of him in 1891 & 1901 Canadian census records, but George Findley appears in the homestead papers, number 86221a for NE 1/4 of section 46 in Ridgedale Sk. It appears that he settled in 1906 and by 1907 had 14 x 20 frame dwelling and 1 horse. In 1908 he had 1 horse and 6 cattle, in 1909 had 3 horses and 9 cattle, with 80 acres fenced, a stable worth $150.00 and a granary worth $50.00. He claims his wife lived with him until this past year when she died. Birth year calculated from age given at marriage.
