Ezra lived in New Milford before he died, as indicated in a will for his father Zadok that refers to Ezra as being formerly of that place (1806). This is also the time frame in which descendants of Ezra's son Stephen Baker Barnum believe he was living in New Milford.
The New Fairfield Cemetery is also sometimes known as the Congregational Church Burial Ground.
