In 1930, only Louise and her son Dudley are listed in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
From the Transactions of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, pub, 1921: Evarts Shanklin Barnum, of the G. M. Basford Company, New York, died of pneumonia at his home in Ridgewood, N.J, on February 3, 1920 after an illness of eight days. Brother Barnum was born in Louisville, Ky., in 1883 and received his education at Purdue, class of 1906. His entire business life was connected with railroad work. Immediately upon graduation from college he entered the service of the Pennsylvania Railroad and worked successively as apprentice, machinist, foreman, general foreman, round house foreman and motive power inspector. Leaving the railroad in 1917, he joined the staff of the Railway Age, New York, as associate editor, later becoming associated with the G. M. Basford Co., in charge of its copy department. During the three years that Brother Barnum was located in New York he was very active in Purdue Alumni circles. As chairman of the membership committee of the Purdue Club he did very efficient work. He was a consistent attendant at the meetings and took advantage of every possible occasion to say something in the way of a boast for Purdue. Being in the advertising business and knowing the value of good advertising, he was persistent in his efforts to bring into being a more thorough publicity activity for Purdue in regard to her engineering work. At the time of his death Brother Barnum was a member of the club's publicity committee. At the December meeting he took out a life membership in the Alumni Association. Brother Barnum endeared himself to all who came in contact with him. His even and pleasing disposition and his desire to "help the other fellow" made a friend of every one he met. and his untimely death is a blow to all who knew him. He is survived by his wife and two children.
Fayette (probably named for Evarts’ sister) is not listed with her mother and brother in the 1930 Census.
Dudley Barnum is listed in a 1938 passenger list as being born 7/8/1915 in Louisville, Kentucky.
