Kenneth Raymond Barnum, known as "K.R.", graduated from the Drexel University College of Medicine, Hahnemann University Hospital, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
From the Wellsboro Agitator of April 12, 1956: Dr. Kenneth Raymond (Ray) Barnum, 70 of Kansas City, Mo. died March 23, 1956, in that city with burial there. He had been ill for about two years with a heart ailment. Dr. Barnum was born at Leolyn, Pa., but spent his boyhood in Wellsboro, where he attended school and was graduated from Wellsboro High School in the class of 1903. His father died when he was very young and he resided with his widowed mother, Mrs. Julia Barnum. He was also graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a medical degree. For many years he was a surgeon connected with the Thornton Minor Clinic in Kansas City. Dr. Barnum loved his home town and returned every two years for a visit at the home of his niece, Mrs. Frank Drew. Surviving are two sons, Raymond of the state of California and K. Dorsey of Kansas City, Mo., also one sister, Mrs. Hattie Chapin of Dunedin, Florida.
