A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From the Elmira Star Gazette, Elmira, NY, Tuesday, October 22, 1912: Mrs. Frank M. Barnum. Mrs. Mary J. Barnum died this morning at 2 o'clock at the family home, 217 West Henry Street, aged sixty-one years. She had been in ill health several years, but was in a serious condition only a few days. She was a woman of kindly ways and was a home maker who was ever attentive to her family. The decedent is survived by her husband, Frank M. Barnum, the faithful caretaker at Grace Episcopal Church, and one son, Arthur L. Barnum of Wellsburg, who is employed in the drafting department at the Empire Bridge works. The funeral will be held at the family home Thursday at 2 p. m. the Rev. Arthur B. Rudd to officiate.Burial will be in the family plot at Woodlawn cemetery.
