The New York Times, January 13, 1929. Mr. & Mrs. C. K. (Charles Knapp) Barnum of 1296 Pacific Street celebrated their forty-second wedding anniversary at a dinner yesterday in the Hotel Saint George. Their sons and daughters present included Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Starr Barnum, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Barnum and Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Bingham. Seven grandchildren also were present.

Charles Knapp Barnum, for twenty-five years treasurer of the Tompkins Avenue Congregational Church, of which he had been a member for half a century, died on Saturday at his home, 1,296 Pacific Street, Brooklyn, of pneumonia. He was 80 years old and had lived in Brooklyn for seventy years. Mr. Barnum had served previously as deacon, clerk of the church, Sunday school teacher and assistant superintendent of the church school.
He was formerly president of the Jackson Mantle and Grate Works, retiring in 1924. He was a member of the Sons of the Revolution, the Royal Arcanum and the Brooklyn Midday Luncheon Club.
Surviving are his widow, the former Isadora White, and three children, Clifford S. and Charles L. Barnum and Mrs. Charles E. Bingham.
