From the Luzerne County (Pensylvania) Federalist, 18 Aug. 1809: Notice - The Partnership under the firm of Elijah & Richard BARNUM, is this day dissolved by mutual agreement. All persons indebted to said Firm, are requested to make immediate settlement. Tunkhannock, July 15th. Elijah BARNUM, had just received a general assortment of goods, suitable for the season, which he will sell on reasonable terms for Cash or any kind of produce. Tunkhannock.
21 Dec 1810: The subscribers under the firm of OSTERHOUT & BARNUM, have just received, and offer for sale, a general assortment of new goods, suited to the wants of the country, for cash or country produce. 20 Dec. 1811: Notice - All persons indebted to the Subscriber either by Note or Book Account, are called upon to make payment on or before the 20th Jan.; All those who neglect this invitation, will find their Notes and Accounts in the hands of Cyrus AVERY, Esq., for collection. 6 Nov. 1812: Will be sold by Public Vendue at the late dwelling house of Elijah BARNUM, deceased, in Tunkhannock Twp., on Nov. 20th at 10 o'clock A. M., all the personal property of said Elijah BARNUM, deceased. Consisting of one horse, one cow and calf, one wagon and one cart, sawed timber in a barn, beds and bedding and household furniture, and a number of other articles too tedious to mention.
