Notes for Hannah

Hannah had at least three children: William C. Burr (c. 1800-1878), Lloyd Burr (c. 1805-1881) and Morris Burr (c. 1809-?). A marriage record exists for Loid Bur and Emila Conger in Charlotte, VT in 1826; the bride and groom both resided in Hinesburg. For the 1830 census, Lloyd's family lived three houses from Daniel's in Hinesburg. Daniel's household consisted of one male 60-70; one female 50-60; one male 20-30; one female 20-30; one male under five and one male 5-10.
In 1850, all three of her sons were in Chautauqua County, NY; William in Arkwright, the other two in Pomfret. Hannah Barnum, 79, lived with Morris Burr's family, not far from Lloyd Burr. Since her sons are called Burr, never Barnum, they were likely not adopted by Daniel. The three Burr families moved to Portland Township, but no more mention of Hannah Barnum has been found.
When Daniel Barnum left Hinesburg he went to Westfield, Chautauqua Co., NY. For the probate, his widow Hannah was started the proceedings in Ohio City, Ohio. There is no Lloyd, Morris or William Barnum (his supposed sons) listed in either location, but in 1870 in Portland, Chautauqua Co, NY are found Wm. C. Burr, 70, born VT; Lloyd Burr, 65, born VT and Morris Burr, 61, born VT. The two youngest were still there in 1880, but William's wife appeared as widowed or divorced.
