Rose M. Barnum lived for many years at 601 Forest Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

From the Sauk Rapids Sentinel, Sauk Rapids, Benton County, Minnesota, Vol. XXIX, 8 April 1897, p. 4: Mrs. Isaac Smith, of Staples, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. A. Barnum, who was here to attend the funeral of her brother, Allen Barnum, on Saturday the 27th ult., left for her home last Saturday.
Rose M. (Barnum) Smith died in Doctor's Memorial Hospital, Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 86 years, 11 months and 5 days. The cause of death was given as an "incarcerated right femoral hernia with perforation and gangrene."

Survived by sons, Bryson B., Mpls., Walter A., Milwaukee, 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Warren Barnum, El Cerrito, Calif. Past president of Zuhrah Ladies and member of Plymouth Congregational Church. Services Friday morning, 10:30, Werness Brothers Chapel; graveside services 2:30 Friday at Sauk Rapids, Minn. Friends may call at the chapel beginning Wednesday evening.
