He married Sarah Chamberlin on 28 Apr 1840 in Frelighsburg, Missisquoi County,Québec, Canada, daughter of Dr. Brown Chamberlin and Diantha Knap. She was born 09 May 1816 in Frelighsburgh, Missisquoi County, Québec, Canada, and died 02 Feb 1892 in Ottawa, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Barnum was admitted to the Medical Society in Franklin County, Vermont. Graduated from the University of Vermont, Burlington, Vermont in 1831. Burial: Sep 1857.
