From The Castilian, Castile, Wyoming County, NY, Thursday, December 29, 1921: The funeral of Edward E. Barnum, who died Saturday, Dec 24th, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Robert I. Davidson of Portageville, was held from his home in Centerville at 1:00 clock Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Barnum was born on July 8, 1842, in Rushford, but had lived nearly all his life in Centerville. He married on October 1, 1867, Viola S. Woodward, whose death occurred in 1916.
