Before his marriage, he lived at 32 Ontario Street, Toronto. He was a soldier during WWI. Regimental #766123, ref. RG 150, Box 456-2 states: 5 ft 7-1/2 inches, fair complexion, light hazel eyes, blonde, bald on top of head, scar on right knee, fit for CEF (Canadian Expeditionary Forces), previous service 3 yrs as Cpl in QOR (Queen's Own Rangers) & 4 yrs as gunner in Cobourg Battery; home address is 343 Gladstone Ave., Toronto, Ont. After his discharge he sold wood, coal and ran a feed store in Cobourg, Ontario.
He was born on lot 26, con 2, Haldimand Twp., reg #022472.
