William was baptised at St Michael At Plea, Norwich, Norfolk England on 20 December 1727. His parents were William and Mary Barnham
William married Elizabeth Smith on 1 May 1750 at St Clement's Church, Norwich. Their son, William was born in 1756, John followed in 1758, Mary in 1760, Hannah in 1762, Margaret in 1764 and lastly Elizabeth in 1766.
William was a worsted weaver. Councillor North Norfolk 1762/70, and Poor Guardian North Norfolk 1763/70. He was declared bankrupt, May 1774; superseded, July 1774.
In 1783 he was living at White-friar's bridge, Norwich, and was letting a windmill and other buildings.
He was still alive in 1806, when his wife was buried.
North Norfolk is a modern unit, but sometimes used as the county name.
