Lyndonville - Mrs. Anna Barnum, 80, Lower E. Lake Shore Rd., died early this morning at the Arnold Gregory Hospital, Albion, where she had been a patient for one day. She was born Aug. 13, 1874, in Norwich, England, the daughter of William and Rebecca Smith, and she came to this country at an early age.
In 1891 she was married to William Barnum of Lyndonville, who died in 1930. Mrs. Barnum lived in this vicinity practically all of her lifetime. She was a member of Kuckville Methodist Church and a member of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union.
Survivors include seven sons and one daughter, including Newell, Vernon, Lowell, Alton, William, Irving, and Clifton, all of Lyndonville, and Mrs. Roy Merrill of Waterport. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the Smythe Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday, in charge of the Rev. Howard Pasel, pastor of Kuckville Methodist Church. Burial will be in Lynhaven Cemetery.
