When Lizzie went to the Social Security office to sign up for her portion of Albert's social security pension she was required to list how many times she had been married and the length of each marriage. She knew she had been married four times and thought she had been married five times but couldn't remember the name of one of her husbands. Records have been found for her first marriage, to Albert C. Pruitt, and her last, to Charles G. "Hap" Lytle, whose surname she retained until her death. Her surname was given as Fisk at the time of her last marriage but no records have yet been found for the Fisk marriage or any other.
She was a wonderful cook and baked bread and rolls several times a week. She also made "home brew" beer and drank several glasses every day up until her death. She smoked four packs of cigarettes per day up until the age of 80, when she quit smoking completely. She died at the age of 90 years, 3 months and 25 days.
In the 1930 US Census for Burns, Harney County, Oregon she was enumerated as a boarder in the boarding house of Joseph Chambers. Her surname was misspelled as "Pruiette". At that time she was either separated or divorced from her first husband, Albert C. Pruitt, and their two children were living with their father in the same town.
She died at the age of approximately 90 years, 4 months. Her death was caused by an infection of the blood that passed to her brain, probably a form of meningitis.
