The engagement is announced of Miss Grace Alden Barnum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Barnum of 88 Central Park West, to J. Malcolm Clark. Miss Barnum was to have made her début this season. Her father is the well-known banker, Lawrence Barnum of 27 Pine Street.
Mr. Clark is a member of the New York Stock Exchange, having recently bought a seat on the Exchange. He is a member of the firm of Cowperthwaite & Clark of 41 Wall Street, and is related to the Clark family of Cooperstown, N. Y.
Although no date has been set for the wedding, it was learned yesterday that the marriage will take place very shortly.

Miss Grace Alden Barnum, whose marriage to J. Malcolm Clark will take place Wednesday in Saint Thomas's Church, entertained her bridal attendants at dinner last night at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Barnum, 88 Central Park West. Her guests included Mrs. William S. Hilands and the Misses Amy Burreill, Augusta Wright, Mary Booth, Helen Moore, Gladys Tenney, Vivian Peck, and Hortense Oliver.
Mr. Clark gave his bachelor dinner last night at Delmonico's. Among his guests were Allan A. Ryan, William A. Manning, Fred N. Cowperthwait, J. Julian Dick, André Jacobi, Elwood McAneny, and Frank E. Clark.
