Giles Sage, and Asa Allcott. Daughter of John Thompson Barnum, Jr., 1857-1908 and Emma Paine, b. 1859 his wife, m. 1881. Granddaughter of John Thompson Barnum d. 1858 and Julia Culver, 1829-1904, his wife, 1854; Cyrus Fay Paine b. 1827 and Harriet A. Sage,1830-1859 his wife, m. 1850. Gr-granddaughter of John Culver and Lydia Case, his wife; Oren Sage 1784-1866 and Marilda P. Allcott, 1793-1876, his wife, m. 1811. Gr-gr-granddaughter of William Culver and Esther Grant, his wife; Giles Sage and Ann Wright, his wife, m. 1783; Asa Alcott (Allcox) and Sabra Plumb, 1760-1834,his wife, m. 1780. William Culver responded to the Lexington Alarm from East Windsor, and served in Capt. George Pitkin's company, Col. Benjamin Hinman's regiment at the siege of Boston; also served under Capt. John Simons, Col. Erastus Wolcott's regiment. He died, 1788, in East Windsor. Also No. 7273. Giles Sage 1742-97 served as corporal in the regiment of light horse in the Jersey, 1776. He was born and died in Cromwell, Conn. Also No. 43999. Asa Allcott (Allcox) 1760-1846 served several enlistments under defferent commands and was at the batgtle of Trenton. He was allowed a pension, 1818, for two years' actual service as private, Connecticut Continental Line. He was born in Waterbury, Conn.; died in Napels, N. Y. Also No. 43422.
