From the Troy Times, Saturday, January 20, 1934: The death of Mrs. Sarah M. Barnum, a resident of Lansingburgh for the last 25 years, occurred yesterday at the residence, 123 Fifth Avenue, after a long illness. She was born in Ashland, Greene County, and was the wife of the late Bruce Clinton Barnum. Mrs. Barnum attended Grace Methodist Church. The survivors Include three sons, Luther C. and Allan L. Barnum, of Troy, and Edward F. Barnum of Albany; six sisters, Mrs. Nancy T. Wisner of Minora, Mrs. Alice O. Binka of Minoa, Mrs. Emma F. Barnum of Averill Park, Mrs. George Lapp of Utica, Mrs. James Self of Averill Park and Mrs. Harold Bassett of Averill Park and three grandchildren, Jean L. Barnum of Albany and H. Bruce and Allan L. Barnum, Jr., of Troy. The funeral will take place from the residence Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with Rev. E. R. Ryder, pastor of Grace
Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
