Born in Sheffield, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of Allen and Iona Warren Barnum. She leaves two brothers, Milton of Sheffield and Bethuel S. Barnum of Housatonic. Her husband, Lewis C. Leffingwell whom she married Sept. 2, 1940, died June 19, 1989.
