From the Berkshire Eagle, April 14, 2016: Marion Barnum, 94, a longtime resident of Sheffield died April 2, 2016. Born March 9, 1922, in Great Barrington, MA, she was the daughter of Edward and Marion Mead. Marion married her husband the late Milton Barnum on May 31, 1942. He predeceased her on April 25, 2011.
During World War II Mrs. Barnum worked at the GE. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Great Barrington where she taught Sunday School. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, The Sheffield Historical Society and was co owner of Mt. Everett Lumber in Sheffield, MA along with her husband Milton. She is survived by her son Dana Barnum and wife Deborah Barnum, grandchildren Karrie Barnum and her partner Jeremiah Cronin of Sheffield, MA and Candace Banach and her husband Matthew Banach of Lee, MA.
Along with her husband Milton she was also predeceased by a daughter Dawn Barnum in 1959.
Funeral services were private.
