Notes for Clinton Levi BARNUM


From The Kingston Daily Freeman, Kingston, NY, Saturday, May 2, 1953: Clinton L. Barnum, 50, died Friday night at his home on the old Fort Road, Wallkill (Orange County, N.Y.), after a brief illness. He was born in Jewett, NY the son of Myrtle Grant Barnum and the late John Barnum. He had made his home in New Paltz 12 years and had removed to Wallkill in November 1952. He is survived by his wife Alice Creighton Barnum, two daughters, Mrs. Phillip Gerlach, Kingston; Shirley N. at home; his mother Mrs. John Barnum, Kerhonkson; two brothers, Claude Barnum, Kingston and Bethuel Barnum, Kerhonkson; three sisters Mrs. Myron Williams, Eddyville; Mrs. Stanley Kogut, West Saugerties and Mrs. Clinton Andrews, New Britain, Connecticut. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Burial will be in New Paltz Rural Cemetery.
