From the Times Herald Record (Middletown, NY) 4/20/2002: Elizabeth A. "Betty" Barnum. Kerhonkson, N.Y. Elizabeth A. "Betty" Barnum, 88, died Thursday, April 18, at the Benedictine Hospital. She was born January 26, 1915, in Mt. Kisco, the daughter of the late George and Mary Ann Honohan Dickson. She was married to the late Bethuel Barnum, who predeceased her July 18, 1979. Mrs. Barnum had worked for the former channel master in Ellenville. She was a life member of the Kerhonkson Fire Co. Auxiliary. She attended the Federated Church of Kerhonkson. Survivors include four sons, Melvin Barnum of Avon, Conn., Charles Barnum of Pine Bush, John Barnum of Sundown and Robert Barnum of Surprise, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several cousins. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 21, at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home Inc., 30 42nd St, Kerhonkson. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April, 22, at the funeral home. The Rev. Lorraine Ackerman wil officiate. Burial will be in Pine Bush Cemetery. Arrangements by H.B. Humiston Funeral Home Inc., Kerhonkson.
