He came to Lynn in 1933 to train in the GE apprentice course and had worked as a tool & dye maker at the West Lynn GE for the next 42 years. Mr. Gillette had been a Lynnfield resident since 1941. He was also a Mason for over 50 years. Mr. Gillette was the husband of the late Ruth (Yeaton) Gillette, they were married in 1939. He is survived by his four children; Lyrel Jean Gillette, David Elmer Gillette and his wife Judith (Richards), Janet Ruth Van Zoeren and her husband Harold Raymond and Pamela Lois La Forge and her husband Ronald Paul, his five grandchildren; Jane Elizabeth Gillette and Catherine Ann Gillette, Cynthia Marie Van Zoeren, James Harold Van Zoeren and his wife Alice Huang, and Andrew Paul La Forge. During their 62 years marriage they also provided a loving home for over 150 foster children.
