From www.mocklerfuneralhome.com: Pearl M. Barnum, 77, went to be with the Lord Dec. 12, 2008, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born Sept. 23, 1931, in Woodland, the daughter of Stanley Barnum Sr. and Louise (Nadeau) Barnum. Pearl attended Woodland and Caribou schools and attended New Brunswick Bible Institute. She was an active lifelong member of Caribou United Baptist Church. She was employed by Birds Eye and American Kitchen Foods for many years. Pearl is survived by three sisters, Marion Flanagin and her husband, Sidney, of Casco, Elizabeth "Betty" Short and her husband, Carroll, of Sumter, S.C., and Gloria Finnemore and her husband, Fredrick, of Woodland; one brother, Stanley Barnum Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Woodland; many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Ruby Kost in 2002. Friends may call noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, where services will be held 1 p.m. with the Rev. John Kiehn, pastor, officiating. Spring interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery.
