A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
Between the years 1920 - 1922, Grace met and married Silas Garfield McCance and two daughters were born. Ruth Adelaid 1921 in Vancouver and Helen June 1922 in Olympia Washington. Helen was adopted out to a family in Vancouver, named Paton and her name was changed to Jessie Roberta. Ruth lived with the family from time to time before striking off on her own at an early age. Silas Grant died in 1927. Grace and he never divorced although Grace and Harry Bonnell were together from 1922 onwards and did not marry till 1936. An explanation for this has never been given.
