From the Norwalk Citizen News, November 5. 2004: Allan R. Barnum, 88 of Norwalk, died Oct.. 25 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Portchester, NY on Dec. 19, 1915, he was the son of Allan R. and Thursa May Olsen Barnum. A US Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was an electrical technician for Burroughs for many years. He was a member of the VFW post 399 in Westport, the Striped Bass Club, Saint Andrew’s Society of Christ Episcopal Church. He is survived by three nephews and five nieces. Interment in Center Cemetery, Bethel, Conn.
