A Naomi Barnum of Danbury, was married to Amos Hoy of Newtown, on 28 April 1838 by Samuel Fairchild, Justice of the Peace. Four listings for a marriage between Amos Hoy and Naomi Barnum have been found on Ancestry.com. All four of them quote "Connecticut Marriages, 1630-1997" but with several different dates. One says simply 1837, another says 5 Oct 1837 and two more give the date 24 Sep 1837.
The 27 October 1849 issue of the Hartford "Connecticut Herald" stated that Mrs. Amos Hoy of Bethel committed suicide on October 18th. Her age was not listed in the newspaper index.
