Funeral notice: Nancy Alice Greves, 65, was born into eternal life on January 4, 2012 at her home on Emerald Lake in Grapeview, Washington. Nancy was born on August 6, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to Edward and Doretta (Wanek) Barnum. She was the third of four sisters. Nancy graduated from Wauwatosa East High School, Wisconsin, in 1964 and attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh for one year. She married John Greves on November 9, 2002 in Gig Harbor, Washington. Nancy was previously married to Dale Wetsig from 1968-1995 and with whom she had two children. Nancy will be remembered for her beauty, spunk and love of dance. From practicing ballet at a young age to dancing through school, in the 70s Nancy taught ballroom dance for Arthur Murray’s, was a cheerleader for the Indiana Loves tennis team and danced with a modern dance troupe in Indiana. In the 80s while living on Lake Norman in Denver, North Carolina she began her new path of dance aerobics and founded her own studio, Dance with Nance aerobics studio and tanning salon. Nancy became a certified instructor and produced her own aerobics video. From 1989 – 1991 Nancy lived in Aurora, Ohio where she sold Estee Lauder cosmetics and provided fitness and make-up services for Mario’s International Spa. After moving to the South Sound area in the early 90s, Nancy continued her love of fitness, teaching classes for the YMCA, Evergreen College, Shelton Athletic Club and Firlane Rehabilitation Center. Nancy also worked briefly as a hostess for Red Robin in Olympia and sold advertising for KMAS radio station in Shelton. For the last eight years she was the business manager for Northwest Special Effects, Greves Construction and John Greves Art. Nancy was the model used for “The Party Crasher”, a full cast of Nancy on a vintage soft tail Harley for the100th anniversary of Harley Davidson. Nancy was an active member of St. David’s Church, the Mason County Chamber of Commerce, member of Mason General Hospital Arts Foundation, a former member of Sherwood Guild and a former Secretary of the Emerald Lake community board. She had a special place in her heart for cats, giving food, medical care, love and a warm home to many cats in need over the years. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Doretta Barnum and cats Mambo, Cha-Cha, Samba, Tango and Lil’ Red. She is survived by spouse John Greves, Grapeview, WA, son and daughter-in-law Brian and Renae Wetsig, Bothell, WA, daughter and son-in-law Barbara Wetsig-Lynam and Robert Lynam of Geneva, Switzerland, grandchildren Cale Wetsig, Bothell, Lucy Lynam and Miles Lynam, Geneva, sisters & brothers-in-law Jean & Bill Franks, Barnum, WI, Carol & Myron Gruber, Union, MO and Gail Barnum & Terry Pullen, Gig Harbor, WA, three nephews (Russ and Doug Franks, Steve Gruber) and two nieces (Linda Franks and Sheryl Gruber).
