In later years, she lived in the family home on Cannon Street, where she cared for her mother until her mother's death in 1949. She then sold the Cannon Street house and split the proceeds with her brothers before moving to an apartment on Orchard Street, where she lived until 1953. She was a kind, quiet lady, who loved to take car rides and shop for her grand nieces. She was a member of the Episcopal Church.
She died at Kings & Daughters & Sons Nursing Home, on Westport Avenue.
She was buried in Union Cemetery.
