In the early 1900s, Carrie was a Bell Telephone Operator in Campbellford. At that time the magneto system was being used, which required customers to crank the generator on their phones to reach the operator.
Carrie had been an active member of Zion United Church, Petherick's Corners. She was buried in Zion Cemetery, Petherick's Corners, Seymour Township, Northumberland, Ontario, Canada. Officiating at the Funeral was Reverend Gordon Whitehorne.
Carrie died in the Hillsdale Nursing Home.
She was buried in Zion Cemetery.
