Notes for Peter ROMP

Peter Romp moved his family to Ohio in 1819 and they settled six miles from Marietta, on Duck Creek. In 1825 they moved to Zanesville. In 1826 he bought a tract of land in Olmstead Township, Cuyahoga, Ohio, on what later became the Albert Bronson Farm and later the Kirk Farm. Several years later, he bought a tract of land on Mastick Road that was later called the Raver Farm. Most of that farm was in the valley and is now a part of the Metropolitan Park.
