Notes for Franklin Richard BARNUM


From an unidentified contemporary newspaper: Peoa, Summit County―Franklin R. Barnum, 79, died in his home here Sunday at 7:30 a.m. of a heart ailment. He was born Aug't 2, 1867, in Wanship, Summit county, a son of Henry and Karon Russell Barnum. He was a lifelong resident of Summit county. Mr. Barnum is survived by his widow, Edith Lions Barnum, Peoa; five daughters, Mrs. Norma Wright, Peoa; Mrs. Melba Mortenson, Provo; Mrs. Fay Stembridge, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Louise Lovering, Kalispel, Mont., and Mrs. Jane Kohmke, Summit, Ill; one son, Henry Barnum, Kamas; two brothers, James Barnum, Enterprise, Hyrum Barnum, Clearfield, and 16 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Peoa ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by A. H. Marchant, bishop. Burial will be in the Peoa cemetery under direction of Olpin mortuary.
