Notes for Hannah Shepard:
Many printed genealogies give Hannah's surname as Botsford, but Hannah Botsford was called a single woman in 1744 at the time of her father's estate settlement, so she could not have been the mother of the first two children. For the Shepard line, Jeanee Thompson used "The Shepard Families of New England," volume 2, compiled by Gerald Faulkner Shepard and edited by Donald Lines Jacobus, 1972. For disproving the Botsford connection, check the "Botsford Genealogy", 1991, Supplement, by Helen Botsford Faucher.
