Notes for Harland BARNUM


From the Painesville Telegraph, Painesville, Ohio, (Lake County), Monday, December 3, 1951: Ill since June, Harland W. Barnum, 37, of Montville, well known throughout the area as a trucker, died Saturday (December 1) night at his home. Mr. Barnum owned a trucking business and collected garbage and rubbish in the entire vicinity. He was born Oct. 11, 1914, in Leroy, Ohio and spent all his life in Leroy and Montville. On Aug. 28, 1943, he married Miss Josephine Schultz of Geneva. He was a member of the Junior Order, United American Mechanics. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Joyce Elaine; parents Mr. and Mrs. Pearl Barnum of Montville; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Covell of Geneva, and Mrs. Andrew Miller of Japan, and two brothers, Melvin of Middlefield and Everett of Thompson. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
