From The Telegraph, Painesvile, Ohio (lake County), Monday, August 31, 1970: Madison - Mrs. Gladys E. Covell, 50, of R. D. 2 N. County Line Rd.,m Geneva, died Saturday in Geneva Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness. Born March 10, 1920 in Montville, Mrs. Covcell was a 20-year resident of Madison. The former Gladys Barnum, she married Clarence C. Covell nov. 21, 1942. Survivors include, her husband; her mother, Mrs. Clarwa Lampman, of Chardon; sons Carl and David at home, and Robert, of Perry; brothers, Everett Barnum of Middlefield; and Robert Cook of Painesville; and sisters Mrs. Andrew (Betty) Miller of Santa Ana, Cal., and Mrs. Felix (Ruth) Kivela, of Concord. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at teh Spear Funeral Home, 62 S. Saint Clair St., Painesville. The Rev. Richard Ruff, of Grace Lutheran Church, Thompson, will officiate. Burial will be in Madison Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
